About me

I’m an AI/ML Engineer focused on computer vision, natural language processing, ethical AI, open data, and edge AI systems.

I care about the software engineering behind AI, not just the models themselves. Most of my time goes into the details: data, model behaviour, system design, and understanding what actually makes something work in practice. Part of that work has been data processing on edge devices such as routers and gateways, where resource limits and reliability are hard constraints. Open source and open weight models are where most of my interest lies.

I’ve also mentored several groups of college student interns, helping them apply what they studied in a real engineering context.

As a BH Futures Foundation alumnus, I care about STEM development in Bosnia and Herzegovina, my home country. I also enjoy contributing to projects that promote digital rights and a decentralised internet.

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me hiking or spending time with my dog, Lexi. ❤️

Why blog?

I’ll be sharing thoughts on AI/ML, technology, and ideas I find worth exploring. Occasionally, I might just mess about a bit.

Hopefully, this evolves into a useful archive of lessons and insights over time.

Why GradientFlow?

Many learning algorithms follow gradients - tiny steps towards better understanding. In machine learning, they guide us towards optimal solutions. In life, they guide us towards better versions of ourselves.

This space captures my own gradient descent through AI, technology, and whatever else catches my curiosity.
